What is rake?

Rake is the money taken out of the pot by the house. Depending on the limit it can be from $.05-$3.00.

What is rakeback or rake back?

Rakeback is a percent of the rake paid back to you for playing at a poker site. Serious players earn thousands of dollars a month just in rakeback. This money is often paid to you by an affiliate for signing you up as a player for the poker room. Sometimes rakeback is paid to you by the poker room itself.

I am already signed up at a room, can I get rake back there?

Probably not, about your only chance is to locate your existing affiliate, if you signed up under one. If you already play at a room there is no incentive for the room to pay someone to sign you up. You can however on some networks switch skins and play on the same network.

How do I get rakeback?

First you must compare all of the rakeback offers. Then sign up for the program you like. If you don’t see an offer that suits you, contact us and we’ll see what we can do.

What method will I be paid by my rakeback affiliate?

Sometimes the poker room will pay you directly, other times the affiliates will transfer the money into your player account manually. Under some circumstances the money may need to be transfered by a third party processor. These examples include going over deposit limits, rooms that do not have an inter account transfer feature, and in some cases the affiliate is not allowed to transfer the money to you through the poker room due to poker room policy.

How does the poker room come up with my rake amount?

The rooms use a formula called Monthly Gross Revenue (MGR). Most rooms subtract any bonuses earned during the month. Usually MGR is figured by dividing the amount of rake taken out of all the games you were dealt cards in, and dividing it by the number of players dealt in. Some poker rooms use what is called contributed rake. You must participate in the pot to have rakeback credited.

Will I get a signup bonus when I use a rake back affiliate?

In most cases yes, this should be one of the first questions to ask an affiliate you are considering using. In many cases this bonus will be subtracted from your rake rebate while some rooms do not subtract any of your bonus at all.

Can I take advantage of reload bonuses?

Yes, but they are often subtracted from your MGR.

What is a poker prop?

A prop, or proposition player, helps a poker room get games started and helps keep short handed games alive. A prop player gets paid either a set amount per hand or around 100% rakeback, sometimes higher.
